How I got here

Origins

I started my career in ordnance in 1979 when I enlisted in the US Army as a tanker. My first tank was the M48A5. I was sent to Germany and worked on M60A3's. When I was reassigned a few years later to Fort Knox Kentucky, I began my love affair with the M1A1. I was assigned to the armor engineer board where we got to test out all the new gadgets and improvements that were being made to the Army's new workhorse tank. I was in love! Various other assignments saw me working on not only tracked vehicles, I was also in high demand as a small arms repairer. My first 19th century gun was purchased for me by my wife in 2000. This was my new passion. I loved Civil War reenacting ( it was a requirement that I enjoy this when I met my wife, who took me to my first event in 1999). After two deployments to Iraq (2005, 2007-2008), you guessed it, one was as a small arms repairer, I finally retired in 2014. Now I want to pass along my skill and knowledge in repairing and providing quality parts and accessories to others. I recently graduated from Sonoran Desert Institute, an accredited college of firearms technology. I am now officially certified in firearms technology, fancy for gunsmithing. I also have my FFL certificate. Keep checking back as I add more to my shop. If you need repairs, give me call, text or e-mail.
